About

Christopher Sharpe is a writer, director and editor currently located in Austin, Texas.

He has been making movies for as long as he can remember. Some of the earliest projects were made on VHS tape and Super-8 film. Other ideas never escaped the storyboards drawn on countless spiral notebooks. After graduating college with a degree in Radio/Television/Film, he co-founded Sharpe Creative, a small advertising agency that specialized in internet strategies and web design.

In his spare time, Sharpe directed short films, music videos and commercials in addition to serving as assistant director and editor of Cloud Symphony and Exile directed by Shogo Nakagawa.

In 2005, Sharpe wrote, produced and directed the action/thriller Sex Machine, which has taken top awards at film festivals around the country. The movie tells a twisted story of a modern-day Frankenstein and has quickly become a cult film classic. Sex Machine won the Best Film award at the 2006 deadCENTER film festival in Oklahoma City and the Best Film and Best Special Effects prizes at the 2006 MicroCinema Fest in Chicago. It was released worldwide by Anthem Pictures in 2007.

He is currently in pre-production on an action horror film with the working title Damnation Road.
