Scopin’ Locs

I’ve spent quite a bit of time recently exploring desolate parts of Texas and Oklahoma. At Big Ol’ Tire Fire, we like to refer to location scouting as “Scopin’ Locs.” Here are a few photos from a recent drive to the Wichita Mountains. First up, here’s a pic of the Beaver which is not only our production vehicle (and my sometimes house), but it is going to play an important role in the upcoming movie.

The Beaver

The middle of nowhere…

A pickup truck outside of a pretty cool junkyard.

More junk.

The road to nowhere…

Meer’s. Home of the world famous MeersBurger. Also home to MeersBeer.

More Meers. It’s definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in this part of the country.

Michael the guard dog. We took him along just in case we ran into trouble with rednecks. He may look innocent, but that’s only because you’ve never had those fangs at your throat.
