Ice Storm

The first part of this week was pretty much wrecked due to an ice storm that had all of Oklahoma shut down. We did our best to keep the production office up and running, but spent most of Monday rescuing people in the Jeep. In the picture above all the white stuff is ICE, not snow.

Today we hired a costume designer, sent out contracts, spent a lot of time chasing down packages that were lost in the wheels of FedEx. Our Canon HV30 arrived at the end of the day. It’s a really cool little camera. We’ll be using it for behind-the-scenes stuff and our video podcasts. Expect to see these soon.

Website updates are coming but tonight I have to knuckle down and make script revisions so I can get the production draft out to the cast and production heads tomorrow.

Hey Chris.

I’m living in downtown OKC now and when I walked out of my apartment this morning I noticed someone was filming in front of the library. They had Harvey closed off south of Park and had a camera rigged up to a car there. At first I thought there had been a crash and they were using the jaws of life.

I was wondering if it was you shooting there or someone else?

Flash.

We haven’t started shooting yet, so that wasn’t us. I’m glad we weren’t shooting in that mess. We start shooting March 23rd. So where are you living downtown?

I moved into the Park Harvey building, right across from the courthouse and library.

Speculation is that it was a lottery commercial or Riverwind, or something like that. They sure had a lot of cops helping them out.
