I'd like to add that one should stay consistent with an episode release schedule. If you release on a Tuesday, then release every Tuesday or every other Tuesday, or whatever your interval is. Your audience will expect a new episode on a certain day and if you make them have to wait or look for it, then you'll lose them and your marketing momentum.
